The farm

Our beef is pasture-raised and farm-fed. That means regular access to open pasture plus a balanced Total Mixed Ration (TMR) made from crops we grow right here. This approach gives you rich marbling you can't get from straight grass-fed beef, with the health benefits of a predominantly forage-based diet.

We focus on dry-aging, sustainable farming practices, and a consistent high-quality diet for our cattle. This combination results in beef with superior marbling, flavor, and tenderness that you won't find anywhere else.

We don't operate a creamery. Our farm is named after Creamery Creek, a local waterway that once had a creamery on it years ago. The name stuck, we kept it.

We love this question, and we love Breakfast on the Farm! Yes, we've offered to host in the future.  Join us June 20th, 2026 at the home farm in Bangor 6-11am for as much dairy deliciousness that you can fit into one breakfast meal! More details to follow!

Dry-aged beef has more concentrated flavor and extra tenderness, the kind of quality you'd expect at a premium steakhouse. We hang our whole carcasses for at least 21 days in a temperature and humidity-controlled cooler at a USDA inspected facility. It takes more time, effort, and expense than wet-aging, but the difference in taste and texture is worth it.

The dry aging process requires more time, effort, expertise, and expense.  But it's the type of beef we love and appreciate and know you will too! 

It is definitely  "Worth the Wait!"

Wet aged beef is packaged in large cuts right after rigor lets up - and placed into packaging so it doesn't lose volume during transit. 

When wet aged beef gets to its destination - it's portioned up into steaks and roasts for the consumer's end use. There's the most amount of benefit to the packer and retailer in this scenario.

It's exactly the opposite of what we're trying to achieve.

Milk from our dairy cows is direct shipped to a AA Grassland butter plant in Greenwood, Wisconsin and occasionally the Alcam plant in Richland Center, Wisconsin where it is made into Grade A Handrolled butter.

You'll appreciate Grassland butter -- grading AA, the highest grade for quality solids and quarters, unmatched in taste and quality.

We do not use mRNA vaccines in our beef or dairy cows. These vaccines are currently in clinical trials, and no commercial producers are using them yet. We're not considering them even if they're approved in the future.

While we’re not certified organic, we strive to maintain the cleanest, most sustainable practices possible. Our animal care is top-notch, with standards independently verified through the F.A.R.M. Program and Beef Quality Assurance.

We use sustainable farming methods like planting cover crops, installing buffer strips, and maintaining waterways to prevent erosion, all while working to protect the land for future generations. We also recycle our cows’ manure as a natural fertilizer for our fields, enriching the soil and closing the loop on nutrient cycling.

It’s our way of making sure we’re doing the best we can for the environment and for our family farm.

We ship once a week on Tuesdays. You should expect your order Wednesday or Thursday. We want every package to deliver in 48 hours, but we pack it for 72 hours sucess, just in case.

No. Our dairy cows are given no extra hormones, especially not recombinant bovine somatotropin, or rBST. We want our animals to progress through a natural maturing process.

Yes, but only when necessary.  We work closely with our Veterinarian for any extra needed care  We don't blanket treat any group of our animals with antibiotics for any preventative reason at all. We believe that an ounce of prevention and high quality animal care beats a pound of "cure." We treat our animals as we do our kids --- using antibiotics only when necessary for their health.

We know which animals receive extra treatment because we use herd management software that we can access anywhere and anytime.  We follow all withdrawal guidelines and are used under the direct supervision of a licensed Veterinarian.

Animals in our dry-aged beef program are never treated with antibiotics. If a beef animal needs treatment, it's removed from the premium program and sold through regular channels after proper withdrawal. That's how we stay transparent about the meat we sell.

We feed a mix of conventional and non-GMO feeds to our animals. The majority of what goes into our cows' diet is grown right here on our farm, using sustainable and progressive farming practices. We focus on high-quality, homegrown feed to support the health and well-being of our animals.

creekclub Subscriptions

CreekClub is our monthly subscription box, curated right here on the farm. Each box is farmer-packed with a mix of dry-aged beef, Duroc pork, and seasonal favorites. Think of it as the easiest way to keep your freezer stocked without having to remember to order.

While our subscriptions are not fully customizable, we do allow you to share preferences such as budget or specific cuts, so we can curate a box that works best for your family.

When you join, you’ll answer a few quick questions about your household size and cooking preferences. That helps us tailor your box so you get a balance of staples and special cuts. It’s not fully customizable, but you can tell us if you prefer budget-friendly options, if your family loves roasts, or if you’d like us to sneak in some “treat” steaks.

Yes. Life happens! You can log into your account to pause a shipment, skip a month, or cancel your subscription at any time.

No problem. Just update your subscription profile or send us a note, and we’ll adjust your future boxes.

Your card will be charged monthly on the day you sign up. You’ll always get an email confirmation before your box goes out.

First Mondays of the Month are creekclub pack and ship days!

Your contract renews on the day of the month that you subscribed. To change your date, you may have to cancel and resubscribe on the day that you'd like it to renew. I have requested the feature to change inside your subscription, stay tuned.

Food Prep

Dry-aged beef will have a more concentrated, steakhouse-quality flavor, and it is typically darker in color with a firmer texture compared to wet-aged beef. You'll notice the difference in both taste and tenderness when you cook it.

At Creamery Creek, we only dry age our beef.

Yes, our meats can be cooked from frozen! Many of our customers love using sous vide, as it helps lock in moisture and tenderness. The high-quality cryovac plastic we use ensures your meats are safe to cook straight from the freezer.

Our dry aged beef and Duroc pork is packaged in a high quality cryovac plastic that does not contain Bisophenol A, otherwise known as BPA.  This plastic is rated for deep cold, and temperatures up to 149 degrees.  We've tested it straight into our sous vide cooker and love it frozen to finish. 

We recommend keeping your meats frozen until you're ready to use them.

Use within 6 months for best quality on ground meats and within 12 months for whole muscle meats.

For optimal freshness and quality, thaw in the fridge for up to 24 hours before cooking

Freezing beef is like hitting the pause button, freezing it keeps it safe to eat for a long time. But how long depends on a few things:

If your freezer stays nice and cold (like 0°F or colder), and the beef is sealed up tight with no air or light getting in, then you’re in good shape!

  • is best if you use it within 6 months.
  • (we call those “whole muscle cuts”) can last up to a year and still taste great.

The colder and darker your freezer is, the better. Think of it like beef hibernating in a cozy cave—it doesn’t like warm breezes or bright lights while it’s sleeping!

At Creamery Creek, we vacuum-seal our cuts to keep out air and light, so they stay delicious ‘til you're ready to fire up the skillet or grill.

Shipping and Orders

We don't have a traditional storefront, we operate as a "farm website + freezer." When you’re at checkout, you’ll choose the option that works best for you and your location:

  • Farm Pickup: No minimum order required. Just place your order online and we’ll have it ready for you here at the farm.
  • Farmers Markets: We’re happy to bring your order along to any of the local markets we are currently attending, just check our schedule!
  • Local Delivery: Available for our 4-county local area with a $50 minimum order.
  • Shipping: We ship weekly on Tuesdays across the continental US. For the best value on shipping rates, we find that 20lbs of product is the "sweet spot" for box weight and distance.

We ship weekly on Tuesdays via UPS or Spee-Dee Delivery.  You should expect your order shipment on Wednesday or Thursday.  If you don't, contact us right away.

If your order hasn't arrived within the expected time frame, contact us immediately. We will help resolve the issue and ensure you get your products as quickly as possible.

Yes! Our creekclub subscription boxes are a great way to keep high-quality beef and pork delivered right to your door every month. We also offer gift certificates and curated gift boxes for the perfect present.

We ship all orders through UPS, or seasonally through our local regional carrier SpeeDee Delivery. If you’re within a two-day Ground delivery zone, we’ll use UPS Ground. If you’re farther out, you'll only see UPS 2-Day Air/ UPS Next Day Air as options. We want your order to arrive safely and quickly. Customers who want it even faster can select UPS Next Day Air at checkout.

Yes. Every box is packed with plenty of dry ice so your beef, pork, or dairy arrives frozen solid. Our goal is for all packages to be delivered within 48 hours of leaving the farm.

Sometimes there are weather events that could take shipments out longer than we desire. If delivery stretches closer to 72 hours, our heavy-duty poly liner helps hold the cold and keep everything safe. It’s rare, but we’ve built in extra protection just in case.

Nope! Your package will be left at your door. But we do recommend bringing it inside as soon as you can so the dry ice doesn’t burn off completely. (And a tip, don’t touch dry ice with your bare hands. It’s very cold.) Pack straight into your freezer.

We take your food safety seriously. On the rare chance your box arrives thawed or damaged, reach out right away. We’ll make it right.

Yes. You'll get a tracking number via email as soon as your order preps for shipping on Tuesday. Our pickup is scheduled at 4pm, so you'll start seeing updates after that.
