More Than a Name on a Label: Meet the Team Behind Creamery Creek

Creamery Creek Farmers

I know you don’t buy your beef and pork from a farm because it’s the "convenient" path. If you wanted easy, you’d grab a mystery tray at the grocery store and call it a day.

You’re here because you want to know the who and the how behind your dinner. You care about how the animals were raised and whether the people producing your food share your values.  We do too, that's how the business has evolved over time!

Creamery Creek this isn't just a business, it’s our life! But it’s also much bigger than just Justin and me. To get that dry-aged beef to your doorstep, it takes a village of dedicated professionals and a next generation that isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.

Justin & Louisa

I’m Louisa, the one you’ll hear from most. I handle the talk, the tech, and making sure you know exactly what to do with that brisket once it hits your kitchen. Justin is the engine. He manages the livestock, the cropping, and serves as our "crisis manager." If something breaks (and on a farm, something is always breaking), Justin is the one that's figured how to fix it before the cows even notice.

The Backbone: Our 12-Person Crew

We want you to understand that this is a complex and dynamic farm operation. We have 12 full-time team members who are the heartbeat of this farm. These are people we trust with our livelihood, our livestock, and around our own children.

From our Herd and Calf Managers to the daily milkers, the robot barn specialists, and our dedicated maintenance crew, this team is loyal and dependable. Some have been with us as long as Justin and I have been here. They respect the life we raise, and they are the reason we can guarantee the quality we do.  They're raising their kids at Creamery Creek right along our kids.

The Next Generation

Our kids don't just "live" on a farm; they work it. Grant me some grace here, proud Mom moment. If you want to know why we’re so optimistic about the future, look at these four:

Joe: Our apprentice plumber. He works full-time, takes business and plumbing classes at night, and still spends his weekends alternating between calf and heifer chores at Big Creek. If there’s a plumbing leak on this farm, Joe is the one under the sink.

Jake: A high school Junior who balances sports and trap shooting with 3-5 calf feeding shifts a week. He’s our Bobcat skidloader pro, dependable, quick on the draw, and always shows up.

Josh: A born operator. He’s the shop tinkerer with a tractor project always in the works. Even without a driver's license yet, he’s so delicate on the controls that he unloads LTL delivery trucks to the shock of the drivers. He’s a "doer," not a whiner.

Johanna: At 11, she’s the best helper I have at the farmers markets (her fee is usually a boba drink). She handles the pragmatism of farm life, and her calf chores, with an audiobook in her ears and a "matter-of-fact" attitude. She’s even developing her own line of natural tallow-based skincare called littlecreek.

The Hansen Partnership: Our Trusted Stewards

We don’t do this alone, and we wouldn’t want to. The Hansen family is our primary partner in this journey. They aren't just "neighbors"; they are a key part of the Creamery Creek puzzle who share our deep-rooted values on animal welfare and land stewardship. When we talk about "our family farm," we’re talking about a partnership built on years of mutual trust and a shared commitment to doing things the right way.

Why This Matters To You

When you buy from us, you’re supporting Joe’s trade school, Josh’s "treasures" in the shop, and the local families who work alongside us every day. You aren't just buying meat; you’re investing in a community that values hard work, respect for life, and real food.

We’re proud to be your farmers. Thanks for being part of the journey.

As always, glad you're here too!

XOXO,

Louisa
